Jonathan J. Paull DWI Attorney provides DWI Defense for Houston, Harris, Galveston, Ft. Bend, Montgomery, and Brazoria Counties
If you have been arrested for DWI in Houston, Montgomery County or anywhere in Texas, I can help you. Most citizens who contact me about their DWI case do not understand what they are faced with. They have misconceptions about how to fight their DWI prosecution.
Let me explain some of the misconceptions people have about DWI arrests...
1. I failed the DWI test, so it's over for me. I might as well accept a cheap plea-out.
NO! Recently, I won a dismissal for a client who registered more than twice the legal limit of alcohol on the Intoxilyzer machine. DWI breath test failure does not automatically result in a guilty verdict. There are a number of circumstances that can cause the DWI breath test machine to give a false high reading.
2. I'm not really guilty, but I can't afford to fight the DWI.
NO! You can't afford not to fight. If you take a cheap plea-out, it could cost you up to $5000 in fines, court costs, increased insurance rates and loss of time at work.
I have dedicated my practice to protecting the rights of citizens like you. I will be happy to talk with you about your DWI case and explain the different strategies that can protect your rights. Whomever you decide to choose, make sure your DWI attorney is prepared to commit to a full and proper investigation of your case before you decide whether or not to "plea out."
If you choose me, I will investigate the following:
a. The legality of the stop
b. Your performance on the video-taped field sobriety test
c. Possible problems with the breath test results
